The Proper Way to Enjoy Electronic Poker

[ English ]

Video Poker is a beloved game that is able to be enjoyed in casinos across the globe, or alternatively at your house on your personal computer, through a net connection. The rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player trying to get the highest combination of cards as you can in order to win money. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the line of contact with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Video Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and presses the draw button. A hand of 5 cards will then be "distributed" on the video screen.

The Video Poker machine also has hold buttons, and players will need to now choose which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the enthusiast would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the player has decided on which cards she would like to retain, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be dealt if desired. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.

Generally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can change from game to game, so that discerning enthusiasts are agile enough to choose the most money-making machine each instance.

Once the first round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that might have been won. Additionally, several versions of the game allow the player an opportunity to double their wins, in which situation a further hand is played. There are also differences between specific games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to increase playability.
